213 posts on this website and not a single scrapbook page………..How odd !

I do Scrapbook, I teach Scrapbooking classes, hold scrapbooking workshops, run and visit crops and yet I have singularly failed to share a page with you. I am going to rectify this today and through next week and show you a variety of pages and some more cards and 3D projects too!

So here goes, when I run a Stampin’ Up! home workshop for a group of scrappers we usually make a 6″ x 6″ page and this week I visited Anna and her friends and we made a chocolate lime page Yum!

I always take a 12″ x 12″ page to show them how they can step it up and this is the larger version.

Tomorrow I have some goodies and cards to show you from my team that I recieved yesterday at our Inspiring Inkin’ Stampin’ Up! team meeting.  We had lots of fun and I gave away so many prizes and awards the team is going from strength to strength, I am so lucky.  If you’d like to find out more about becoming a demonstrator in my team please do email me.

A new favourite card of mine, if you are coming to one of my home workshops in the next few weeks you will see me demonstrate this card.  It’s five minutes to stamp and assemble and looks great.

This one is all in purple, Lavender Lace and Elegant Eggplant. But it also looks fab in Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate chip too.

I’ve almost finished the Spinner card tutorial so do pop back tomorrow to see it.

Actually I was home on Saturday night!

We had  a great day on Saturday, thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello.

The show organisers took the decision to close the show early at the end of business on Saturday because of the high winds expected overnight and during the day on Sunday, for the safety of the visitors and the exhibitors.  So we packed up and loaded the van and I was home by 8pm.

Yesterday was spent busy doing not a lot…………..A day off is an unexpected bonus so I baked cakes, watched movies and hung out with Brian and the kids it was lovely.

Blustery Day !

Feb. 26, 2010 3 Comments Posted under: Cards

Well what a blustery day it has been ! I’m in Farnborough at the Make it! Show on the Magmaker stand (H6) promoting Making Gifts magazine, Making Cards magazine and of course my decoupage book.

The wind has really been gusting today and making the roof rattle, so much so I had to find my big voice to be heard over the top of it!

Thank you very much to all those lovely people who stopped by to say hello! Crafters are such wonderful people. Shows are a great opportunity to meet new people and learn new things. Each day I demonstrate different projects because many people come to the show for all 3 days and it think it’s important that they get to see something new each day.

One of the cards I was demonstrating today was a spinner card like the one below, it’s very straightforward once you know how !

Happy Moments stampin up

I will do a tutorial for it next week, when I’m back from the show.

I have used the Birdcage stamp from the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set along with the scallop circle punch and some designer series paper.

Remember you have 2 days left to get your free stamps with Sale-a-bration, I know I’m away from home but I can still place orders and if you place a qualifying order for Sale-a-bration (£45 or more) I will pay your postage !

I hope you have a wonderful weekend

Do you love what you do?

Feb. 24, 2010 3 Comments Posted under: News

love-what-you-do

3 years ago I would never have believed I could earn my living from crafting, each day I create, share my love of crafting and in particular rubber stamping with so many people.  I work with the most amazing people and have one of the biggest teams of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in the UK, they along with my customer friends are my inspiration.

So you do love what you do?

Right now is a great time to become a  Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, start up costs are low £139 for £240 of product and until the end of February Stampin’ Up! will give you a free stamp set of your choice and as a double bonus I will give you one too!

To the right of this website there are some links, you can click on them to find out more about me, my team and get the answers to some frequently asked questions.

Your demonstratorship is as individual as you are. The benefits of being an active demonstrator are the same whether you are a hobby or career demonstrator. People will join for many different reasons and you may have goals similar to those below:

DISCOUNT DEMONSTRATOR – Likes the idea of buying stamps for personal use at a discount and occasionally sells to friends and family.

SHORT-TERM DEMONSTRATOR – Sells for a short period of time to earn a specified amount of money and stops when the goal is reached.

HOBBY DEMONSTRATOR – Loves doing workshops and classes and earning extra money when it’s convenient; works a lot some months and very little, or none, other months.

CAREER DEMONSTRATOR: A demonstrator who views Stampin’ Up! as a viable business with long-term career potential; builds a team of demonstrators; regularly attends Stampin’ Up! events and works at her business in a consistent manner.

You might be wondering what are the benefits of joining my team?

By signing up with me will become part of my team Inspiring Inkin’, and I’ll provide you with all the help and support you need — but I will never push or pressure you to do more than you wish to. Whether your goals are to just support your paper-crafting or stamping habit or you want to build a successful business, I am here to help. I will be here for you at all times – all you have to do is call or email me!

I run monthly and quarterly meetings for my team, they always have stamping at it’s core but will also be focused on business topics and skills, so whether you are a demonstrator who has joined to just get your discount or intending on building a business there will be something to interest you at these meetings. Inspiring Inkin’ is a fabulously active team of people who love what they do and share what they love with others!

So what are you waiting for?

Start loving what you do and call me on 07890 426945 or email me and join my team today.

Beautiful Birdcage

Feb. 18, 2010 3 Comments Posted under: Cards

Morning !

It’s half term here in the UK and it’s been a busy week so far, I’m going to Margaret’s for a home workshop this morning we are going to have lots of fun with wheels!

The card for today is using lots of stamps, I love the vintage look of layering stamps, but instead of going for neutral style colours I’ve gone for a real spring look, using Barely Banana and Apricot Appeal.  I have used the background stamps of Medallion and En Francais along with Happy Moments a Sale-a-bration stamp set that is still available for free with a qualifying £45 order.

One of my team showed us how to pin the ribbon down with a brad at our recent shoebox swap, it makes a great topper for the birdcage.

Happy Moments, word window punch

Day off tomorrow, we are going to see Avatar and then it’s the craziest week of this year so far…………. Sunday and Monday off to Peterborough to finalise Issue 3 of Making gifts, 3 home workshops and then Friday, Saturday, Sunday I’m at the Make it ! show at Farnborough on the Magmaker stand, I’ll be demonstrating for all 3 days, do come along and say hello.

Team Training Day

Feb. 16, 2010 2 Comments Posted under: Cards, Classes

Saturday was lovely I have a couple of picture to show you made by some of my very talented team.  First up to show us an amazing moving card was Elaine, it looks so tricky but she made it look easy, and the best bit was she gave us all 8 pages of detailed instructions with pictures.  If you are coming to my April Mini-Madness class we will be making a card using this technique.  Check here for details of the class.

Stampin' Up! love you much

Jane then demonstrated a great technique using the Heart to Heart punch, it made a lovely card.  Jane kindly packed up kits for everyone to make this card.

Bellas bloom, Heart to Heart

You can visit Elaine’s blog here and Jane’s blog here.

Here are some pictures of the day.
