Happy Birthday

to me!!!

42 today and having the day off!  I don’t work on my birthday and I’m planning on going shopping and have a lovely lunch, then home to the family for presents ( well maybe if I’ve been good!) and tea!

As it’s my birthday I have a cake to share with you today, I found this tutorial, via a link on the In Love With Stamping Forum ( thanks Rachel !!), and made a cupcake or 2……….I know blue cherries are not often found but the glitter is soooooo pretty!  Thanks to my Mum for the lace and some of the ribbons xx

The best bit is the pull out tag you can write a little note or better still for those teenagers who are impossible to buy for, clip in some cash!

Since it’s my birthday I have some goodies to give away, all sorts of ribbons…………  Now at my team training last week we all made some ribbon resources, I think it’s important at team training we have a variety of projects that help our businesses.  The ribbon resources look like this.  We actually made eight individual sheets, and are now all able to display every ribbon Stampin’ Up! stock.

Thanks to Hayley for the idea, she kindly sent me one several months ago when she made them for her team x

So since I have a mountain of ribbon, I have 5 bags of ribbons to give away, they include a variety of 10m of ribbon included in 1m lengths all you need to do is leave me a comment and tell me what was your best or worst birthday present!!!

Just to confuse you unlike blogs my comments link is at the top of this post under the title to the right of the date……!

I will draw names after the Turkish Grand Prix on Sunday.

Happy Stampin’

Amanda

    Happy Birthday Amanda!

My best birthdy present was this years! A new camera for a surprise trip to Rome with my Hubby! My family organised a big party too and it was a very special evening and I celebrated turning 40 in style, with all my loved ones around me

I find it hard to say one thing which has been my best birthday present as I usually receive lots of lovely things.

For me the best present that I can receive year after year is for my husband and girls to make me feel special on my birthday. Putting any gifts aside that is always the best birthday present for me.

Hi Amanda!! happy birthday, No one should ever have to work on their birthday so good for you!!

I think my best birthday present was last year when I thought my boyfriend whisked me off to london for the weekend! I’d never stayed in a hotel before so I was super excited and even though he hates art museums he took me to 2 in one day, LOVE the tate modern!

Worst present ever was tea towels, (thanks nan) they are only a good present when they come with a promise that someone else will be doing the washing up!

A very happy birthday to you. I just love your yummy cupcake card and I really will have a go at making one or more of these lol. My worst ever birthday present was many years ago – a frying pan from mother-in-law rofl – we get on much better these days.

Happy Birthday Amanda! Amazing cake that you’ve made, what an inspiration you are.

My best present was a gold locket and figaro chain with pictures of my children, given to me by hubby.

My worst present was a dark brown long calf length puffa jacket given to me one year by hubby. It looked like a walking sleeping bag and I looked like the michelin man in brown :o )

    Ciao, Julia x

Have a wonderful day Amanda. My best birthday was my 40th. My hubby organised a day at the races and then off to a country hotel for fine food and a log fire with a huge xmas tree. When we returned home there was a family party. As its the only birthday he has ever done it made it very special.

    Hi Amanda
Sorry for the belated wishes but hope you had a great day….

My best(?!) pressie was when my husband offered to send me to New York for my 30th but I felt so guilty about having that much money spent on me alone I talked him into booking a holiday with him and the children and we ended up in Great Yarmouth!!!!! No comparison really!

Happy Birthday Amanda. It was my birthday whilst I was on holiday, I have just come home, and I think one of the most thoughtful gifts I have received was – my friend came and potted all my tubs and planters with new bedding plants and then came and watered all my garden a couple of times a week for the three weeks whilst I was away. I have come home to a riot of colour and a really tidy garden.

    Happy Birthday Amanda.

I think my best present is my laptop I got from my hubby for my 40th, I think it also explains the lack of time for cleaning, crafting, I’m sure you know what I mean!!!

Congratulations for your Birthday, Surely you have mis-counted, you can’t be even 40 yet!!!!! Creeping or what………..
Two of my best pressies were my twin brother,20 minutes older than me, and wow do they count sometimes……Age before beauty etc. And when I won The Women’s French Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships also on my birthday, a good few years ago now. This was a turning point in my life, me this pressy gave my confidence and self belief a huge boost that has enabled me to do some amazing things and meet some wonderful people including you.
