They always went to school with holes in their shoes, basically because the cobbler was too busy mending everyone elses shoes to tend to his own children’s shoes!

Well some weeks it feels a bit like that here! I’m so busy preparing cards for classes, magazine articles and workshops, you would think I would have loads of cards ready for family occasions, however I don’t! It was my lovely in-laws wedding anniversary last week, and the card below was a little late……Oops !

So I have set myself a challenge to make the September and October cards by the end of the week, I’ll let you know how I’m doing.

I have used Summer by the Sea, it’s on the last chance list, and only available until the end of September or until stocks are gone!

Deborah has used a card blank in Almost Amethyst with a Blush Blossom Mat layer which has been paper pierced in all 4 corners. The girl is stamped in Chocolate chip and then water coloured and matted onto a Almost Amethyst layer. The Ribbon is Whisper White dyed to match Barely Banana using an inkpad and dauber. The sentiment from Best Yet has been matted onto an Almost Amethyst Oval scallop punch which has the scallops punched.

Gorgeous Thank you Deborah!

Happy Stampin’

Sometimes in crafting you do something and think WOW!

This card is one of those. I have a Technique club which meet every month to learn new techniques and one of them this week was painting with bleach. Not a new technique but a very interesting one. I decided to use the Summer by the Sea stamp set one of my favourites and for some reason chose Creamy Caramel cardstock, I’m really not sure why…….

I stamped the image in Versamark and heat embossed with clear powder ( you need to do this to keep the bleach contained when you paint.)

I then got out the bleach from my cleaning cupboard, it’s Domestos, just ordinary bleach, I popped a little bit on an old plate used a fine paint brush and painted the little girls dress. The colour change was very quick, but the best bit was it bleached the Creamy Caramel to So Saffron………….How ?………I have no idea !

I have used the bleach on lots of other colours of cardstock and no other startling colour changes but Creamy Caramel to So Saffron, Fabby!

Happy Stampin’

This is a make and take I will be demo’ing on Saturday at a workshop for one of my Downline Lydia, the way Stampin’ Up! works is demonstrators sign up under another demonstrator, who we call an Upline. It’s the Uplines job to support their Downline, offer training and support in building a business, so I’m off to run a workshop with Lydia, we are going to have a great evening.

I’m planning on building a big team ! So if you’d like to find out more about this opportunity and become part of my team please email me ajpapercraft@btinternet.com

This card is using a wonderful set Summer by the Sea, and a level 2 hostess set Garden Silhouettes. I made a ‘Z’ card using half a sheet of A4 Bashful Blue card stock cut lengthways. I then folded it in half and the front section in half again. I then stamped all over using the Cow Parsley stamp again in Bashful Blue and I used a technique where I inked the stamp and then got 3 images from it just by repeat stamping, that gives a lovely shadow effect. I stamped the girl image on Confetti White card stock, it has lovely flecks of colour running through it and is wonderful to watercolour on. I used aqua painters and Bold Brights Watercolour Crayons, they are so easy to use the colour just glides on.

I matted the image onto Pretty in Pink Card and then stuck the left hand side onto the folded back front section. I stamped the greeting punched it out using the 1 1/4″ circle punch, layered onto a 1 3/8″ circle of Bashful blue onto a Scallop punch of Pretty in Pink, I finished off with some little white dots with my gel pen.

Happy Stampin’
