How about a little break from Christmas cards?I thought I would share this card as it’s a beautifully sunny day down here on the south coast and although I haven’t been to the beach today, it is certainly windy enough to see lots of these little boats on Southampton water.
I love the way a water colour wash just lifts the background of this card. It’s on shimmery white card, my favourite card for watercolour effects and the colour is Pacific Point. Now I don’t think I have ever seen Southampton water that shade of blue, but a girl can dream of blue seas and white beaches ! Make sure the background is completely dry before you stamp the greeting on it or the ink will bleed.
The stamp set is Swirly Bird, I used it a lot when the catalogue launched but haven’t used it for a while, so it was good to play! there are no dies for the boat sections but they are very easy to cut out by hand.
