So how exactly did my son become 22? It doesn’t seem possible, and that time has gone by so quickly. But he certainly is 22 and touring the country currently. He is working, visiting friends, gigging as well, and will be back later this month…..
Since he left on his travels on his actual birthday we had an early birthday dinner and this fab cake. It was a whisked sponge (vanilla) topped with the darkest chocolate frosting and salted caramel sauce both over the top and in between the layers. Scrummy!
I did of course tease him about the candles, the frosting started to melt, it was so hot!
Now there is a bit of a tale about his birthday card, I made it weeks in advance, and I was feeling very proud of myself.
Of course didn’t go to write it until the night before and look what had happened. I must have put something wet over the top of it, oops ! So of course I had to re-stamp and cut super quick.
This was the finished card. I used the Urban Underground product suite, I love it for mens cards and of course being a suite of products everything co-ordinates. It’s effortless to pull projects together, I so love Stampin’ Up!’s co-ordination.
