I am so excited to share with you another first for me! I have joined the Stamping Techniques 101 Blog Hop as a Design Team Member. On the 1st Wednesday of each month we will have lots of fabulous projects for you to see focussing on one particular product or technique.
If you’ve never heard of a Blog Hop, it’s exactly what it sounds like, each of the design team posts a project on their blog or website with links for you to click (or hop) to the next design team member and their projects.
So for January 2018 we are focussing on Blends and they are awesome!
I have used my favourite set from the NEW Spring Summer catalogue which launched today Petal Palette. I have stamped the flower image in Memento ink before using Rich Razzleberry Light and Dark and Old Olive Light and Dark Blends to colour. You need to use Memento ink as it won’t bleed when you colour the image.
Now there are 2 ends to the blends, I use the brush tip to lay down large areas of colour but I always ‘blend’ with the bullet tip shown in the picture below. The bullet tip is much stronger and will blend better. I always blend with the lighter colour and stroke the pen in one direction to move the colour. Be patient it takes time.
Did you know that because the blends are alcohol based markers you can colour Rhinestones and ribbon too! The new white organza ribbon takes the colour beautifully!
I thought I would make a stepped up version of the card using both the ribbon and the Rhinestones.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects, make sure you hop around all the other design team members they have some fabulous projects to share with you!
