I love, love love this All the Good Things stamp set.  I bought it because Brian loves Bonsai trees, but I’m liking the fish stamps more all the time! The stamps are deeply etched but have different levels so take up the ink in almost a photographic way, they are fab.  The technique to get the multiple colours on is so quick and simple, you just need some sponge daubers!

All the good things Card Amanda Fowler Inspiring Inkin' Stampin' Up! UK

The cardstock is Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.  The fish is first inked up in Crushed Curry, then using a sponge dauber add Pumpkin Pie ink to the stamp directly, and then repeat with Cajun Craze ink.  You want to dab the ink randomly and that is how you get the most amazing and realistic pattern. You then need to “Magic Huff’ and then stamp it down.

If you’ve never come across the “Magic Huff” this is what you do, breathe heavily or Huff all over the inked side of the stamp, it re-moistens the ink and means you’ll get a great impression.  The science behind it is the ink starts to dry whilst you are using the sponge daubers, the moisture from your breath re-activates it.  A quick stamp of a greeting and the card is finished.
