I love the change of seasons, and Autumn is wonderful, not too chilly or too wet, and Mother nature gives us an amazing display with all the leaves changing colour.

That is why this week I got out Artistic leaves for Craft and Chat. Its a 2-step stamp set, meaning it has 2 elements that make the completed image. It is really easy to use and you can go traditional colours, or as you’ll see further down a little wild with sponge daubers.

This first card uses the Irresistible Designs paper that I showed you a few weeks ago, it makes such a great background. Who can resist the Old Olive Linen thread??? Not me, especially since it comes in a bundle with Early Espresso.

For my 2nd card I used the blending brush first and then embossed with the Gathering Leaves 3D embossing folder. Again a really simple layout, but the embossing gives some great texture.

Now onto my favourite card, Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Gorgeous Grape are not normal Autumn leaf colours, but they work! You can have so much fun with the technique of adding colour with your sponge daubers. Make sure to give the stamp a magic “huff” to reactivate the ink before stamping.

We have a busy family filled weekend planned which I am really looking forward too! Its going to be full of beach walks and ice-cream!

And……. I can report that yesterday both Brian and I said, you know I feel pretty normal today…….. Hurrah! The bugs have gone! Well from this house at least. I am hearing from so many friends that they are unwell, or know people with all kinds of bugs. Its time to wrap up and take care of yourselves! Please rest up if you get sick, they take a long time to go!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments about my Stampin’ Up! awards. 17th November is my 18th Stampin’ Up! birthday, and its been an amazing journey. Thank you for the part you play in my world, I really appreciate you!

Have a great weekend and I’ll be back soon with some more creative inspiration.
