A fun Christmas Decoration Craft and Chat replay for you today. I first saw these stars about 20 years ago, in Finland, a friend had made about 100 of them in a tiny size, it must have taken her days! I like making them in a BIG size, much less fiddly and very delicate too. I also have some sneak peeks to share of NEW products launching in January 2026.

The smaller you go the flatter the star and more chunky it becomes. But equally it makes them more robust. So it does very much depend on the look you are going for.

It is such a great way to showcase your beautiful patterned paper.

Measurements

You need 12 strips of your chosen size.
For the large star I used 1/2″ x 12″ strips
For the smaller star I used 1/2″ x 8″ strips

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I’ll be back soon with some more creative inspiration.
