Well I’ve been rather quiet for a few days as I have been re-organising my stamp room, I’m not finished yet but I thought I would share the work in progress………!
So far…….2 trips to Ikea, a mountain of boxes, 3 bins bags of rubbish, 4 boxes of recycling and the local Girl Guide unit have got lots of crafting supplies for September.
I need to explain that I don’t have a “room” as such, I work at one end of the lounge so therefore things have to be tucked away and since I am not the tidiest of crafters it really needed to get sorted. Boxes and boxes of “stuff” where migrating all over the house. Because I don’t have much storage where I sit and work I have some units in the spare room which you will see and my stamps are tucked away where my computer is.
So onto some pictures, this is the first trip back from Ikea.
With a lots of effort by Brian it turned into this storage unit, I have 4 mirrored doors, it’s difficult to see because the sofa bed is reflected in the mirrors.
The black line at the top is a set of 4 boxes “Drona” these are open top boxes and I use them to store orders for customers and projects I have prepared for classes and workshops. The red boxes are “Flort” they have a zipped top and come in 2 sizes, I keep things like envelopes and cello bags in the half size boxes and 3D items, heatguns etc in the big boxes.
The clear “Samla” boxes have things like glitter, pretties flowers, glues, brads etc In the top right are 4 “Kassett” CD boxes, perfect for ribbons and all my extra reels. I do have a drawer full downstairs too…….
The reason I have the mirrored doors is to protect my cardstock, light fades card and it needs to be protected from bumps and bashes. This is just one of them storing my A4 card……….
I have another 4 square unit at the other side of the room.
Now downstairs my stamps are organised by size of the plastic box, please don’t count them I’m in denial of how many I have……..(chuckles) In my defence I have earned lots of these stamp sets for free and you can too, becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator gives you great opportunities to earn free stamps, ask me how you can join my team !
Do notice the wheel storage top right, If you have wheels you need this storage, your friendly SU! demonstrator can sort out an order for you ( That would be me !). And I have some of my paperwork on the right.
So now to downstairs I have 2 six drawer cupboards, my punches are tidy and easy to see. My scissors, tools, pens watercolour crayons etc are all housed in these drawers.
And now onto my 2 most favourite things………I’ve tucked away this lovely grey beauty beside my desk and hidden behind an armchair.
It hides away all my cardstock, in colour family order in hanging files, it is sooooooooo wonderful!
As you can see only Chocolate Chip is labelled so far, I have a long way to go……….but this my second favourite thing a P touch label maker, everything is going to be labelled wooo hoooo!
Now can someone please tell me where I’m going to put this lot…………?
or this………….?
I will be back with some cards very soon.
Happy Stampin’
Amanda

LOL at the photos at the bottom, that was me after I put everything in my craft room so it looked perfect, only to have to find homes for the rest of the ‘stuff’. It is looking really great. I put my SU cardstock in hanging folders as well, it is really easy to find what I need.
Wow love the colours – love the paper storage – as for the leftovers mmmmmmmmmm not sure He he he xxx
OMG amanda, I did count the stamp sets and I think I counted 80+!!! that is dedication to craft!!
Are there any sets that you don’t have?
See you next thursday at the titchfield class!!
I am jealous! Such organisation – looks great. Am still struggling to reorganise my stuff – it’s ground to a halt also! Finding it difficult to get my head round it.
Looking fab Amanda. We went to Ikea this week as well! Love jenny x
