It was my birthday last week, and I seem to have misplaced my 43rd year……..! Do you know where it went? Up until a day or 2 before my birthday I was sure I was 42, in fact I was teaching a Scrapbooking class titled ‘All about Me’ and I was so convinced I was 42 I had put that on my sample scrapbook page. It was only when someone asked how old I would be on my birthday and I did the Maths, born in ’68, it’s 2012 so I’ll be 44……….. How can that be? So now do you see I have lost a whole year !
I was very lucky to receive lots of amazing cards and pressies for my birthday, I will be sharing the cards later this week, one of the presents from my hubby was a Kindle, so do please leave me messages of good books I need to download or favourite websites.
I have a couple of cards for you today, both using the amazing Blossom Punch and matching Mixed Bunch stamp set, I think this is my favourite combination in the new Summer Mini catalogue. Now don’t be shocked but there is a bow on this first card, isn’t it gorgeous? So easy to do, just loop the satin ribbon and fasten with a brad, it must be easy because I am bow impaired and if I can do it so can you !!! The ribbon is secured with a spotted brad, soooooo pretty to!
This second card uses the same stamps and punch, but it makes a Butterfly, I love the versatility of this punch, you just chop off 2 petals and use a co-ordinating marker to make the antennae.
The pleated ribbon makes such a stylish addition to the card, I hope you will forgive the fact that it’s wonky! Straight is so over-rated !
Just wanted to wishe you a happy belated birthday – I was 44 on the 31st, so we can celebrate together!
