Last Christmas project for a while, we made this wreath at my all day Christmas class last week. It uses half a pack of designer series paper ( Six 12″x12″ sheets) cut into 1/2″ strips along with a 25cm polystyrene wreath and lots and lots of pins !!! The paper is the Holly Berry Bouquet Speciality paper.
It is very simple to do, just run your bone folder and thumb each side of the paper from the centre to the edge and it will curl towards the middle, pin randomly onto the wreath. The lovely Naomi had a great idea to decorate the back of the wreath, she used 1″ strips and pinned them overlapping slightly, it gave a really professional finish to the back of the wreath, I am going to dismantle mine and copy !
That’s one of the wonderful things about crafting we share and learn from one another.
Happy Stampin’
I have a question. I am going to try and get a group of women to make this wreath and we have two – three hours. Will a 12″ foam form work size wise and will we be able to get it done? Should I prepare the strips for them ahead of time? Advise?
Thanks
Dee
Hi Dee, I have used a 10″ and a 12″ wreath so that should be okay. Yes indeed prep the strips first, we found that you needed a break after an hour or so because the pins hurt your fingers……some people took theirs home to complete after 3 hours but other people were done. Hope that helps !
