A mini tutorial and 3 super cute Easter baskets for you today they are quick to make so you still have time to make them.
I have to say a big thank you to Lyssa an American Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who’s blog Song of My Heart Stampers is of great inspiration to me. She shared a photo tutorial to make the basket here I have tweaked the sizing slightly to accommodate our A4 card stock and then adapted the sizing to make 2 other sizes of basket. Lyssa also uses brads to secure her baskets which looks great, but I have chosen to use my trusty tombow multi purpose glue instead.
Here is a close up of the middle sized basket, it looks great in both stamped cardstock and Designer Series paper.
Cardstock or Paper 8″ x 11″ for the basket
Cardstock or paper 2 1/2″ x 11 for the handle
To make the basket with the 8″ at the top score at 3″ and 5″ turn
Score at 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″ and 7″, 8″, 9″ and 10″ to the first score line turn and repeat.
Please see the picture below this is what your scored card should look like.
You then cut from the long edge to the centre score lines, to make 2 side panels and 16 fingers !
The following pictures show how I glue the fingers of card to the side panels of the basket.
This is what the inside of the basket looks like.
You then attach the handle.
Here are all the sizes for the other baskets.
Cardstock or Paper 6″ x 8 1/4″ for the basket
Cardstock or paper 1″ x 8″ for the handle
