You guys are the best ! Thank you so much for your emails and messages, cards and even flowers, I’d love to hug you all, but for now a virtual hug will have to do.
One of the things that my team and customers love about me is my endless patience, I adore teaching and helping people discover new things, with that comes mistakes and therefore patience is needed whilst it takes time for things to go right. I have no patience with being poorly……I am not impressed, I have things to do and places to go and stamps to stamp ! Please imagine me stamping my foot in an impressive 3 year old tantrum ! Now we are only 6 days in…………..Grrrrrrrrr………….
Okay now my tantrum is out of the way how about a lovely card? Now this one is a “case” (Copy And Share Everything) from a card that the awesome Pam Morgan of Stampin’ Up! shared at the USA convention last summer. There is lots of gold heat embossing on the card and even on the button, you can see it in close up. So cute ! I dusted off my Beautiful Wings Embosslit, I haven’t used it for ages, I think you will be seeing more of it.
To get the embossing powder on the button, just press it into the Versamark ink pad , cover in powder and heat gently, keep the heat gun quite high up.
So I have a question for you today, I have been putting the links to the products at the bottom of each post, do you find that helpful? I haven’t done it today, so if you scroll down to the next post you can see the difference. Please leave a comment by clicking on the Rich Razzleberry bubble just below this post on the right.
Hi Amanda,
I find the links useful to see what colour card/paper and inks you used. Unless there is a stamp or shape I particular take a fancy to I’m less likely to buy that but I am trying to move away from the card and patterned paper I’ve gathered over the years and buy Stampin Up! products in future (Helen is too!) so it’s nice to see what goes together well.
For the card above did you emboss the butterflies after you cut them out? I always find my heat tool blows small pieces of paper or card across the desk and haven’t found a way to resolve the problem (it’s not a SU! heat tool but I’d rather spend my craft funds on embossing powder and inks than on a new heat tool if possible)
Last question – do you glue the knot in the button? If not, how do you stop it coming undone or falling out?
thanks for another lovely card, Sue
HI Sue, Glad you like to product list, I hope you will like the pictures too! The butterflies are an embosslit which cuts and embosses at the same time. I have then just rubbed over a bit of gold ink on the raised areas. AS for pieces of paper flying off the edge of the table, I use my pokey tool to hold them down, or a pair of paper snips. I don’t glue the knot in the button and have never had a problem with them coming undone. Hope that helps!
Always find it very useful to know what products you have used and hopefully you will contiue to do so as sometimes i think we can all get a bit lost with colour/ product combinations xxx Keep resting !!!!!!!!!! and get well soon xxx
Thank you very much, I’m pleased you like the product list !
Hi I love seeing what you have used on your ideas, they are really useful. Please don’t stop doing this.
Hope you get well soon Amanda. Xx
Thanks Ann, I am improving thanks for your good wishes.
