Today I ran a party for Clair at Lou’s her mum’s house, Lou has been busy creating some paper wreaths that I just have to share with you ! Lou used papers from books to make the wreaths, but you could easily use, Designer Series Paper or paper you have stamped on to make them.
This first wreath is layers of music paper cones with paper roses in the middle.
This second wreath was sooooooo heavy, it has over 450 roses on it, a real labour of love ! Lou removes the bow and changes the ribbon to go with the seasons. She hand cut each rose, made from a spiral of paper, rolled and glued each one onto the polystyrene shape. She then added pearls and gem topped pins to decorate the roses.
You can see the roses here close up, to distress them, she took a hammer to them !
At the party today I showed them the Stampin’ Up! new Spiral Rose Die which will give a similar effect but with less cutting out ! Lou gave me a small wreath to have a go myself, so watch this space, I’m a girl on a mission, I have already ordered gemstone and pearl pins !
