Last Sunday here in the UK was Mother’s Day, I made a card for both my Mum and Mother-in-Law using the same colours, but tried to make them look quite different.  I think I succeeded.

This first one was for my Mother-in-Law Brenda, the background is using the Decorative Dots embossing folder, it was a free Sale-a-Bration choice, which has now ended but, you will be able to purchase it when the new annual catalogue comes out in July.  The focal point is cut using Oval framelits and decorated with Petite Petals flowers and butterflies.  I am very pleased to say she liked it.

Now this was the card for my Mum, similar style but landscape, with some paper piercing and cut out pieces.  You really can’t see in this picture but I have stamped the flower on Shimmer paper and used a technique with re-inkers to get the lovely flower, I have just completed a video on it, so watch out for that in the next week to see it ! Mum loved the card which is the important thing !

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I have been in the wars lately, cracked ribs, burnt hands, it has been a bit of a disaster for the last couple of months, but I can honestly say I’m feeling great at the moment. I need to focus on getting ready for my big adventure at the end of April, I’m off cruising the Western Carribean courtesy of Stampin’ Up! and I’ve booked the zipline, climbing wall, snorkelling and some waterfall climbing……..shhhhh they don’t need to know I’m accident prone……..I have good travel  insurance, lets hope I don’t need it !
