This is a public service announcement, if like me you have lots of sponges and sponge daubers, and they are covered in ink, and you are not always sure which colour ink you have used on them…….you might feel the need to wash them!

So firstly I damped them down and then I put them into the washing machine with a couple of old towels.

So far so good.

They washed beautifully, washing machine was fine and with all those bubble you would think they would have come out sparkling……!

Well you would be wrong, they came out as inky as they went in, they were just wet !

So I then had to wash them by hand, which was what I was trying to avoid in the first place…….it took lots of soap, lots of squishing and lots and lots and lots of rinsing. So I thought I’d share incase you were tempted to take the easy route like me…….
