Today I am going to show you that is it okay to cut up your Stampin’ Up! stamps………. yes really ! If you have read my blog before you will know I love ALL things Stampin’ Up! well after all it’s my full time job……But occasionally Stampin’ Up! make a stamp that I don’t adore, please don’t be shocked it does happen!
Such is the case with the NEW Love is Kindness stamp set, it’s a bunch of Tulips wrapped in newspaper, that bit I LOVE, but I didn’t love the sentiment that was attached, so I did this……..
Are you shocked? I did keep the sentiment but it’s just not the sort of thing I would put on a card like this one !
I broke out my new Blendabilities in Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and Smokey Slate to colour it in, so simple and very cute! Remember to use Memento ink to stamp your image before colouring in with the Blendabilities. Here is the inside.
So now I have given you permission are you going to take scissors to any of your stamps?
In other news……..no snow here yesterday, or likely any time soon……..!

I love what you’ve done there but I wish Stampin’ Up would sell blank wooden blocks so you could do this and use the ‘left over bits’. I’ve re-mounted all my cling stamps on wood after giving up with them but it would have been nice to be able to do it on proper shaped blocks and not on cut pieces which are flat on all sides. Perhaps you could suggest it to them!
Thanks for showing this in detail. I, too, am not fond of the sentiments that are often “built in” to the stamps, and wondered if this stamp had enough room between the image and the sentiment to separate them. Now I know that it does! Thanks again.
Hi Mary, thanks so much for leaving a message, I’m pleased that it has helped you x
