or how to get the fiddly bits out of your amazing gorgeous butterflies………!
But just a quick NEWFLASH first !!!!! The weekly deals are up, if you look to the right hand side I have a scrolling bar pictures of all the deals and the Envelope Punch board is just £13.46 WOW, if you haven’t got one yet, now would be a good time to order!
Okay back to the twiddly, fiddly bits !!!!
You have seen this card already and you know I love, love love the new Butterflies Thinlets but even using waxed paper it wasn’t easy to get all the little bits out.
So I did what most crafters do…….I looked on YouTube for some hints and tips and found 2 videos one from Karen Burniston and one from Patty Bennett, both used dryer sheets so I went shopping, found them and gave it a go. I have to say I had no idea what a dryer sheet was………but I love the fact that I can use something different in my crafting!
This video is my version of the technique, because I couldn’t get consistent results with the way they did it, I played around until I found out what worked for me. Do give it a go and let me know which method works best for you! You can leave comments at the bottom of my post and I reply to every single one !

I can’t type THANK YOU loudly enough to show how much I appreciate this awesome tip and video. I tried it just now with the SU doily sizzlit that has been sitting sadly unused in a basket and IT WORKED! (I loved that little sizzlit and nearly wept when I tried to use it and had to pick and clip out every single one of the cuts.) It won’t gather any more dust! I love the look of the butterfly thinlit, but I didn’t put it on my preorder because of my bad luck with the fussy pieces on the doily. Now I can order the butterfly and be confident that it will be put to use many times. Thanks you, thank you…
Oh Connie, thank you so much for your lovely message ! I too got cross with that doily sizzlit and I’m so pleased it worked for you too. I used it at class today with the new Hello You Thinlits dies ( really fine letters) and it worked amazingly well.
Will you look at that? Must give it a try, thanks for sharing this tip. x
Hi Helen, thanks for your comment, it’s fab, really does work !
