So today is day 12 without a home phone…… thankfully the broadband is working and occasionally the divert to my mobile works, but still so sign of the BT team coming to dig up my front garden….. they said Monday or Tuesday, so I’m kind of not holding out much hope since it’s Wednesday…………and the promise of a repair by the 5th February, well……..apparently now it’s maybe by the 18th !
My normally sunny personality has been clouded by this, and I am certainly grumpy around the edges! Thankfully I have my crafting to cheer me up and you my lovely blog readers, so any funny stories or jokes would be welcome in the comments section below! or chocolate, chocolate would work ! it’s a bit too early for wine….
So how about a card? Not only a card but a clever card and a clever card for a man too! The centre panel looks tricky and either uses lots of cardstock or you need to very carefully line up the images. No and No !
You stamp the train from the Traveller Stamp set once onto a piece of Whisper White card, then using the squares framelits and your magnetic platform you cut out 3 squares/ frames as shown in the picture below. I used the smallest square, then skipped a square and used the next size and skipped a square and used the next square. Sponge round the edges of each square, stick the bottom layer on flat, the middle layer on with dimensionals and the centre layer with 2 dimensionals stuck together. See clever and simple all at the same time!
This will work with all sorts of nesting framelits, I shall be sharing more pictures of variations of this card soon.
Come back soon for more inspiration and perhaps a resolution to the missing phone line…….

Sorry, no clever quips for you, just know that without a phone, no one can call to bother you either. And, it could be worse. We just got socked with another foot of snow and temperatures this morning with the wind chill are minus eighteen fahrenheit! Such a clever use of framelits layers on this card. I would love to CASE this idea.
Thanks so much Carole, I have to say I would LOVE that snow !!!! but I guess it must become tiresome after a while. Stay safe and warm x
This is sooo cool!! I may have to try this with my classes!
Glad you like it Mary Jo !
