Today’s post is all about a cute little Match Box made using the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board, it’s really straight forward to make, here is the video, scroll down for the measurements, and two different sizes too!
Amanda’s Matchbox
Drawer
6″ x 6″ piece of Card, punch and score 2″ and 3″ follow the score lines all the way around as you would make an envelope.
Strengthening base piece 2 1/4″ x 3 5/8″
Wrapper
3 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ score at 1 1/4″, 2″, 4 3/8″ and 5 1/8″
Paper Embellishment layers
Two 2 1/8″ x 3 1/2″
Two 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
You will also need scraps of paper, card and ribbon to embellish your matchbox.
I taught this Matchbox at a recent team training and I love that my team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators take my projects as inspiration and develop them, for me that is what crafting is about, we share. One of my lovely team Julia, makes jewellery and she made this lovely example, she puts a small piece of bubble wrap under the top of the insert piece to lay it down at an angle and then cuts slots for necklaces, and punches holes for earrings too !
Not content with stopping there she made 2 different sizes too, using a 7″ and an 8″ square piece of card for the base, and she has very kindly said I can share them here with you too ! Thanks Julia !
You make the boxes in exactly the same way as the video and all of the wrappers are scored at the same sizes as above, so the measurements below are just for the drawer section. You will need to trim off the points on to make the sides fold in.
They are both 3/4″ deep and 2 3/8″” wide.

Rotate once and punch and score at 4″ and 5″
