I’m using the Thoughtful branches set again today and yes I mentioned Christmas…….I know it’s still August but sometimes you need to get ahead!
Now the bag is one I have been making for a very long time, it’s called the one sheet bag and I have a video below of a variation of the bag using the Flower Shop stamp set, the video was shot 2 years ago, but don’t worry there is an updated variation on its way, but for now I know you will be able to get the basic information from the first video, the second video is all about the bow, the upside down bow, I know so many of us struggle with bows, this way you never have to struggle again!
The measurements are the same but it’s very important that you do the scoring first then the stamping. So that you can get the trees lined up like the following picture, you need them going in opposite directions so they look correct on the bag. I have stamped the central tree first and then used a second generation stamp and then a third generation stamp to get the shading, going towards the right. The generation stamping is just stamping again without re-inking. I then re-inked, stamped the first generation onto my grid paper and then the second and third going left to get an even set of trees.
Both the bag and the card have been glittered, or should I say Dazzling Diamonded…. now the original plan was to water down some tombow glue and flick it onto the card and bag and then sprinkle the glitter over the top. It proved more difficult than I had anticipated because it’s white glue on white card and you can’t see where it has landed ! So take 2 version uses the fine tip glue pen to dot glue all over. Dazzling Diamonds are all over I can tell you all over my ink pads……. there will be a video about that too!
