Sympathy cards are cards we all need but we don’t want to make. It seems morbid to make them in advance but experience has taught me that I don’t want to make them when I need them either, because I’m sad. It’s such a tricky thing, so I have a couple of solutions for you, the first is to always have a selection of cards on hand without sentiments, so you can pick one that is appropriate and add the sympathy sentiment onto it. The second way is to have a few all ready made.
We made this at card club a few weeks ago and I made some extras, I do hope I don’t need them, but I am grateful I will have them if I do.
Now the sentiment is from the most useful set Teeny Tiny Sentiments and I have punched it out using the Classic Label punch, but the punch has points at the end not flag ends as you can see on my card. All I do is feed the punched out piece back into the punch and make those cute flag ends. I’m not sure the explaination is that clear but when you have the punch in your hand you will understand what I mean.
