Today’s card is made using the Delicate Details stamp set, it is so detailed that the background looks like it’s printed paper but it’s stamped. Seriously it is super effective and quick to do. Delicate Details is one of the current Sale-a-bration stamp sets, you can read all about Sale-a-bration by clicking the link HERE. But the most important thing is you can’t buy these stamps, they are FREE with a £45 purchase. Hurrah!
First I diecut an oval Stitched Framelit for the birthday card and stamped the cake and Happy Birthday in Night of Navy ink. The Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set is fab and makes birthday cards a breeze. Normally I would recommend that you stamp first and then diecut, but this image is a tight squeeze on the oval so for the best results diecut first. I then used a blender pen to add a little bit of shading.
The lacey background I stamped in Soft Sky ink, I found that the easiest way to get the lace straight was to put each of the stamps on my grid paper stamping side down. Then I check they are straight and push the acrylic block down over the top. This makes sure they didn’t get a curve in them before stamping as it can sometimes happen with a long stamp. I stamped each image one at a time, but you could line them all up on a big block too if you wanted.
Simple quick and stylish, my favourite kind of card!
