A very bright and sunshine card for you today, using the Happy Celebrations stamp set and matching embossing folder.  It’s a simple card but there are several hints and tips I think I need to share.

So first up the embossing folders give a debossed image, so the image goes into the card, you will get some wrinkling if you use Whisper White card as I have done, the debossing is deep and it can wrinkle the card, you can get around it by spraying the card with a little water, but I like the effect so I leave it.  There are 2 embossing folders in the set, the other has the word Celebrate on it.

I have only used 2 colours of ink, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie with the Happy Celebrations stamps, and have repeatedly stamped the circles to get the graduation of colour. So another tip is when you are stamping over the top of the debossed image, you need to re-ink the stamp rather than stamp it again because you get a reverse image and then when you stamp it will not be a clean circle.  You also need to make sure that you stamp lots of the darker shades over the debossed image so that the word pops out too.

Thinking about packing today, this time next week I shall be on my way to Amsterdam for the Stampin’ Up!
