On the incentive trip we can join a Stampin’ Up! organised swap we make 26 cards and receive 26 in return, I knew that I wanted to use the Magical Mermaid stamp set. I always love taking part in this swap because of the fabulous ideas you get.
So here is the swap I made.
Of course I used lots of different elements and it was messy ! I started out with stamping of the bubbles and the seaweed using Emerald Envy Ink.
Then came the messy part, embossing paste, coloured with Bermuda Bay and pool Party re-inkers, applied with gloves!
You can see the texture I got here.
I then added Dazzling Diamonds and sequins.
The card was finished off with a Water coloured Mermaid on Shimmery white card that I fussy cut and a punched sentiment layered on silver card. Phew, it took some time but I really liked the finished effect and I love working with the embossing paste.

This is beautiful, love seeing your work!
Thank you so much Linda!
What a beautiful card, just love it!!! xx
You are very kind Annette, thank you!
Enchanting. So clever of you using the embossing paste so you have. The texture, colour difference, Dazzling Diamond and sequins give a look of an opening into a world of wonder that the mermaid is looking at, longing to enter. I’m sorry but it just conjures up such a wonderful story. Oh well, back to reality. It is a stunning card Amanda. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring. Take care.
Thank you so much Linda, that was exactly the look I was going for, I’m so pleased you could see it too.
