I saw a 2 tone Christmas tree on Pinterest ages ago and I really wanted to give it a go with my Stampin’ Up! products, but I really struggled with getting my head around cutting the tree.  It sounds crazy now, because once you figure it out its easy but for some reason my brain didn’t want to work it out!

All you need to do it work out the size of the front layer of card, in my case 3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ and then cut 2 panels one in each colour they panels are 1 7/8″ x 5 1/2″.  I then used wash tape to stick them together and cut the tree from the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlet dies.  Taking the tree image out I then ran it through the big shot using the Softy Falling embossing folder.  You then flip around the coloured tree halves and stick it all together.

You see simple when you know how!  Just to make you giggle, I had thought about cutting one panel, then cutting it and the tree in half and then trying to put is all, back together again!  Brian says I always seem to find the hardest way to do something…. I think he might be right.  Bet you are pleased I worked it out for you first!
