Sometimes a stamp set really grabs me and I knew from the start this was going to be an awesome set. Wishing You Well is an all occasion stamp set. I love the greeting, “Wishing You Well” covers so many things. It also has a great Christmas wreath as well, look out for more cards using that too.
Gorgeous Grape is the stand out purple and it’s softened with Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla. I used the Swirls and Curls Textured Embossing folder on the Gorgeous Grape layer. The Stitched Shapes framelits to cut out the flower image. Can we just admire that bow, it looks like its made of organza, not stamped! It’s such a delicate image and it’s all because of the new design of stamp called “distinktive”. Its design means the ink is put down in different amounts over the stamp giving the fabulous image.
Hint and Tip – Distinktive stamps work best on ink pads that aren’t too inky……. and to be honest we all over-ink our stamps! So if the image doesn’t come out as you think it should use the back of a spoon or a bone folder to push the extra ink on your pad to one end. Clean your stamp and ink it up on the less inky side, chances are it will be perfect then.
I used scissors to make the little flag ends on the greeting, but of course, you can use the Classic Label punch too if you wanted.
