I have a fab Rooster card for you today, using a quick technique called masking. I have made several of these Home to Roost Note Cards, they make a great gift bundled up tied with ribbon.

Home to Roost Note Card Card Stampin' Up! Uk Inspiring Inkin' Amanda Fowler

So in order to get the rooster to stand in front of the wheat you need to take the following steps. First stamp the rooster, I used Stazon as I was colouring with blender pens afterward. Then stamp the rooster again on a post it note. Make sure that the top of the rooster is along the sticky part of the post it note. Cut the rooster out carefully. Stick the cut out rooster over the top of the rooster own the card front. Then over stamp the wheat in Crumb Cake ink, repeat stamping to get the shadow effect. The post-it-note rooster will protect it and prevent the wheat from stamping onto. Now stamp your greeting and colour in the Rooster using the blender pens. Super easy. You can re-use the post it note several times. Once you have matted and layered you have a great note card.
