It’s a lovely day here in Hampshire, bits of blue sky which is always good to see. Today I have a blast from the past, well kind of….. it is a stamp set called Swirly Bird and you’ll find it on page 159 of the annual catalogue. I say blast from the past because it’s been around for a couple of years now, but it is such a useful set it needed dusting off. There are images of a bird, obviously…… and a boat and a kite and then the images I have chosen to use splats and swirls. I love them!
It’s a one layer card and quick to do. I stamped the largest swirl in Blueberry Bushell. I then stamped the smaller swirl in Coastal Cabana and finally over stamped with the splats in Soft Sea Foam. Keeping all the stamping on the right gives a great clean edge. I used the Classic Label punch to make some little flag ends of Coastal Cabana and Soft Sea Foam and layered the sentiment right over the top.
A quick, clean and simple card. Abstract shapes are always great additions to your stamp collection. So do you have any favourite stamps that need dusting off and some love? Do leave me a comment I would love to know!

So the weekends gardening report……. we worked hard on Saturday, but rain and storms stopped play on Sunday. So half the grass is raked, and seeded and top dressed. The tomato and cucumber seeds are coming up, and I saw rhubarb this morning, which is super exciting!
