Brian and I had an amazing time on our Greek Isles 2019 Incentive trip courtesy of Stampin’ Up! Such a great time that we didn’t take many photos ! Its really interesting as I’m getting older I am find that I’m enjoying the moment more and taking less pictures. That said this blog post is picture heavy!
We were aboard The Jewel of the Seas and the cruise was 7 days and we stopped at Santorini, Mykonos, Athens and Katakolon. We only had plans for Santorini and Athens as our plan was to relax, and we certainly did plenty of that.
We did have several Stampin’ Up! meetings which showcased new products and updated us on all things Stampin’ Up! I am very pleased to say that the European customs issues are beginning to ease, and products will be returning to the warehouse. I will keep you updated. The Autumn-Winter catalogue is amazing!!!
Santorini was beautiful, the food was amazing and I learnt all about their grape vines….. Well you probably know I am a wine fan and Santorini wine is special. The vines are grown on the ground because of the high winds and the vines are wrapped around to make nests to protect the grapes. It was really interesting to see!
Time spent with friends is always the best and these lovely people are awesome!
The food on the ship was wonderful, and each day we started out with coffee, pastries and fruit on our balcony. It’s such a treat and a fabulous way to start each day. We might have then gone to the restaurant and eaten 2nd breakfast!
Mykonos looked lovely, we stayed on the boat, I know it seems crazy, but the pool was amazing and I had 5 books to read.
Wow, Athens was incredible, but busy…….. of course July is high tourist season, The Parthenon had been shut twice during that week because of 40c degrees plus temperatures. So everyone turned up in the morning, 7 cruise ships where in port too! It was crazy, you’ll see how busy a few pictures down.
This is an area of stone that was being repaired. I love the little bobbles, I know it was decoration, but it looks like Lego!
So this is how busy it is……. this is the climb up to the top of the hill.
More relaxing on the boat and more good food and wine. Then the last stop Katakolon. It was such a lovely small town, great shops, cafes and bars, we wandered, and then spent the morning eating and chatting with friends. A really perfect day.
Stampin’ Up! spoils us on these trips. Not only do we get an all expenses trip for 2, we also receive pillow gifts every night. There are give aways at the meetings and each day we win prizes in the hospitality room! I have an amazing picture to share of all of the gifts, take by a lovely fellow demonstrator Rhonda Bassler. She has kindly said I can share this picture with you! It looks so much better than the one I took!
NEW catalogue! Bags, stamp sets, dies, punches, appears, more stamps, more dies, more punches, a padded jacket, handbag, rucsac and sooo much more. Wow!
Please note : Less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the incentive trip each year.
What a fantastic week, I came back fully rested and really excited about all the new goodies coming your way! I hope you’ve enjoyed my Greek Isles Incentive Trip tour. I’ll see you soon.
