Free as a Bird thank you card

I am on a mission to use more of my lovely patterned paper. I like many crafter’s hoard paper, it’s so pretty! So I am taking it out of it’s protective cover and gasp….. chopping it up! Today’s thank you card focuses on Free as a Bird, a lovely stamp set for all occasions and of course the matching Bird Ballad designer series paper.

I have used 3 punches on this card, the Triple banner punch to make the flag ends, the 2 1/4″ circle punch for the bird and the leaf punch. The leaves are from another stamp set Painted Harvest, I just love the balance it gives to the card. I have used 2 sets of blends to colour in the bird Petal Pink and Pool Party and So Saffron for it’s beak, I’m not sure its realistic colouring, but it looked cute!
