The more I use the Mountain Air stamp set the more I love it! Today’s card is a birthday card but it would work equally as well as, a dare I say it…… a Christmas card! Ooooo was that a bit too soon???? I normally wait until after Easter before I talk about Christmas.

Before I show you the card, I just wanted to let you know I have updated the host code for this month. It caused a bit of confusion this morning as the old code stops working when I set up a new one, so sorry about that. You will always find the most recent one on my blog, or email me and I’ll send it to you.

Lets have a look at the card.

Mountain Air Birthday Card Stampin' Up! Uk Inspiring Inkin' Amanda Fowler

I used the Thumping Technique to colour and shade the trees, I made a video 5 years ago about it, using a now retired stamp set. In order to get the shading on the tree you repeatedly thump markers over the image. It sounds a bit strange, but take a look at the video as it explains it really well.

For today’s card I inked up the stamp in Pear Pizzazz ink and then used Old Olive, Garden Green and Shaded Spruce markers for the thumping.

I have almost finished my crocheted blanket, tonight is the night! I will still have to do a border and the pattern for that isn’t released until next Friday 21st. That means I have some time spare……. I might have about 5 new crochet projects just waiting to go, I’ll update you soon.
