I adore my team of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators known as the Inspiring Inkees. I try and find ways to celebrate them throughout the year, with cards and product gifts and each year I give out annual awards. Further down you will see the cards and tags and gifts I gave out earlier this year. Although they are not Christmas themed I wanted to share them to hopefully give you some ideas and hints and tips for this time of year.
So we are full on into the Festive Season, firstly be kind to yourself, don’t try and do everything, share the burden with others if you can, and just do what you can achieve without ending up in a snotty heap. It will be fine and it doesn’t have to be perfect, we are our own worst critics! Making multiples is the way to go, whether that is cards, tags or even presents! Your loved ones won’t be comparing notes I promise!
Times are difficult for many and perhaps in previous years you would have given a gift, this year that might not be possible, or you may not be seeing those you love, so make sure to send a card. A card with a handwritten, heartfelt note inside is such a wonderful thing. Don’t underestimate the power of a card!!!!!
If you are gifting, think in multiples too, I have 6 Nephews, all of a similar age and interests, I know one good present idea will suit all of them. You might have noticed I have been making scarves ( yes multiples….. there is a good reason for that). Finally, if in doubt I buy edible treats, so that the recipient has a yummy treat or if it’s not their favourite, they can share with others, that’s the spirit of Christmas.
So here are my team cards and tags, as I said they aren’t Christmas themed but hopefully by me sharing the process in which I made them it will help you. I cut everything first and then stamped, then assembled. So 10 card blanks, multiples of 10 for each of the layers, then the tags, die cutting circles again all in batches of 10. I then set about stamping, scroll down to see the close up.
I used just 2 colours of ink and stamped all the sentiments on the cards and the tags first in Coastal Cabana, then the script stamp along the edges of the cards and then changed colour to Pretty Peacock and stamped the leaves. Once all the stamping was done I glued everything together, and finally decorated with those lovely silver pearls. By batch stamping and gluing you will be very surprised at how quickly the cards come together. It also means that you can fit in each separate task when you have time and if you clear up as you go that will be time saving too.
I did say I love gifting edible treats and Hotel Chocolat is one of my favourites, yummy chocolates and fizz, what’s not to love?

I hope my Festive hints and tips helped. I am taking some of my own advice this weekend and just taking some time to chill out! We will be writing the Christmas cards and getting them on their way and I’ll be sorting out menus and shopping lists for the Christmas period but that is all that needs to be done. Dog walks and pottering about in the garden will be a nice rest.
I hope you find time to put your feet up this weekend. I’ll see you on Monday!
