You have been on this journey with me all year, I can finally say the Back garden is finished and although its bare right now at the beginning of January, it couldn’t be more perfect! Be aware this post has lots of pictures !!!

This is a veg bed, on the left hand side of the garden and then the next bed has Raspberries, a Blackthorn Tree (for Sloes) and the Rhubarb, the tardis shaped things at the end are the compost bins.

Please note the wonky compost bins in the next picture, we did fix them on Christmas Eve.

Here are the fixed Compost bins, they are on lintels and have a paved area in front of them now, and even better they are straight! The wood on the ground to the right is our Slow Worm over winter house, we have had several Slow Worms in the garden, they are legless lizards, that look like snakes but aren’t. They are very cute.

This is the right hand side of the garden, we have raised up the greenhouse, the tree in the centre is my Damson and the bed on the right is for more veg.

Looking back towards the house, a Pear tree and my hammock frame, and that window is my office.

This triangular bed has 2 gooseberry bushes and the strawberries in it, the raised bed behind is filled full of Asparagus. The matching raised bed on the right doesn’t have anything in it yet but will be filled with veg as well.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my back garden. It has been a great adventure during 2020, the strangest of years. I am grateful we had the time to do it and its such a lovely place to sit when we can’t go anywhere.

I’ll be back tomorrow with Craft and Chat at 2pm on my Facebook page, hope to see you then.
