Happy Wednesday! or indeed happy whatever day you are reading this! I hope you are keeping well. I’m sending a hug out to anyone who needs one, these strange times we are in, seem more difficult I think right now, I’m not sure if it’s the beginning of the year, or the 3rd lockdown but it’s tough everywhere. Know that I am thinking of you and sending out all the smiles and positivity I can!
Speaking of positivity we were on fire yesterday at Craft and Chat! I was doing some crazy things including trying to spill peppermint tea everywhere, but you know I like to live dangerously!!!!
I shared 3 cards using the Touch of ink stamp set, which is a FREE set available until the end of February with a £90 spend. It is such a lovely set and there are so many things you can do with it. This first card I used the stamps in the set, they are ‘artistic’ stamps, by that I mean they aren’t designed to colour in the image perfectly, they are supposed to look like someone has water coloured the image.

For this 2nd card I used my blends alcohol markers, make sure always to use memento black ink with alcohol markers. This would also look great using water colour pencils or water based markers.

The 3rd card uses the stamps again but this time adding 3 colours onto the stamp using sponge daubers. This is a simple technique but works really well on a wide range of stamped images.

I have had a lovely day, I’ve been planning a fun treat event for my team in March as they have been so amazing this past year (well every year) and I sent out the invitations this afternoon. We have a guest speaker coming to talk about Hand Reflexology and well being and lots of crafting planned it’s going to be awesome! My email is busy pinging as I’m writing this with people accepting the invitation!! Hurrah!!!
Late yesterday all the February Craft-a-long kits went in the post as well, and I’ve started January’s! Another Hurrah!
Do try and find some time to treat yourself, or at least put your feet up or get out and about for a walk. Whatever the best thing for you is, we all need to re-charge ourselves, one of my favourite sayings is you can’t pour from an empty tea-pot! Make sure to top yourself up!
I’ll be back on Friday.
