I was back with a bang yesterday. Yes, everything fell off my desk during my Facebook live, I pulled out cables and it meant I had to restart. Thankfully nothing was broken. Several people had problems with the Facebook live, the video and the sound buffering or juddering. You will see I talk about it for the first 5-6 minutes in the video below and I pull lots of funny faces as I tried to work out what to do…. I was so excited to be back with you all and it’s not fun when it isn’t working for everyone.
I’m so sorry if this has affected you.
I have done lots of investigation over the past 24 hours and it seems this is a problem for many people who do Facebook lives. Sadly there doesn’t seem to be an easy solution.
The replay doesn’t have any of the buffering problems, which I now understand means its not my computer or internet. It’s uploading to Facebook okay, its then sending it from Facebook to everyone that is causing the issues. I have some tips, some will work, others may not, but please give them a go.
- Log out and log back into Facebook.
- Make sure you have the latest operating system for your device.
- Make sure you have the most up to date Facebook App or log into the web browser and don’t use the app at all.
- Close down all other open apps, tabs and windows on your device, or swipe up to close them.
- Try a different device if you can.
- Ban the family, kids, hubby from using the internet when I’m live ( I am smiling now because I know that isn’t so easy, but it might help, especially if they are watching movies or gaming.)
- Check your internet speed, that you are actually getting the speed you pay for. Sometimes the hubs are faulty or slow.
- Make sure if you are on Wi-Fi you have a strong signal at least 2, but for preference 3 or more bars.
- It may also help if you pause the live video, I know that sounds strange, but I understand you can do that, leave it for 45 seconds a minute or so then press play. I will be a minute or so ahead of you but potentially that is enough time for the video to settle down.
Finally if none of that works, know I miss you and I’m giving you a big hug and please watch on the replay.
So lets get to the crafting, I made 2 Christmas cards using the lovely Happy Holly Days stamp set. It has a perfect Robin stamp.
If you are reading this via email please click HERE to watch the video.
The first card I made used Crumb Cake as the base layer. I love colouring in on a crumb cake layer, it gives a really lovely vintage feel. It’s also a flat Christmas Card which is great for posting.
Here are all the Stampin’ Up! items I used on the Happy Holly Days Christmas Cards.

I will share lots about our fabulous holiday in a blog post soon. It was so wonderful to have a break, we saw lots of things and had several adventures. I’ll be back soon.
