Be aware this is a very picture heavy blog post. In July Brian and I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords.
We visited Alesund, Stavanger, Kristiansand and Flam. 4 days of stops and 2 full days of sailing, it was so relaxing. At every stop you could just get off the ship and walk straight into town, we only did one organised tour, to Stranda, which was a coach, 2 ferries, a Cable car to the top of the mountain. It was well worth the journey.
Pictures are always the best way to share so here are some of our highlights. the weather was warm and sunny most of the time. Only one day was raining.
Stranda, the views throughout the trip were amazing, and I got to play in the snow too! Thankfully I was fortified by coffee and waffles!
Stavanger was fab, cobbled streets , wonderful food, and strangely a really interesting Canning Museum…….. yes I know that sounds so strange, but it was combined with a Printing Museum and VERY interesting. The Herring for lunch was yummy too!
Every day we woke up to the most amazing views, the ship squeezed into tight Fjords, the scenery was incredible.
We had a walk to a waterfall in Flam and then stopped off for some lunch…. can you call crisps lunch??? A really famous craft brewery, with the most wonderful furniture. This was a beer tasting flight, Brian and I shared and it was delicious. The dark ale tasted like chocolate. We did go back to the ship and have an actual lunch.
