I designed this card to showcase the lovely Flight & Airy Patterned paper that is FREE during sale-a-bration and I set myself the task of figuring out exactly how many punch outs I could get from one 12″ x 12″ sheet………. any guesses……….scroll down you’ll see.
I’ve used my favourite embossing folder from the 3D basics, the super useful Petal Park builder punch and the Stylish shapes dies. The circle punches are the 2″ and the 2 3/8″.
From this picture you would think I got 19 circles, its actually 21, I had used 2 before I took the picture. Oops! That’s a lot of cards you can make from one sheet.
Here are all the Stampin’ Up! items used. Click on the pictures to go shopping in my online store.
I’ve been dusting off my knitting needles this past week. I’ve taught myself how to do a long tail cast on, that has kept me occupied for several hours. Of course YouTube is always my choice when learning something, and there are so many really complicated videos out there. Finally I found one that made it look simple, and of course it is simple, when you figure it out.
I’m not entirely sure how its going to go but I needed something to do that didn’t involve me concentrating too much. As much as I love my crochet, I really have to concentrate to make sure I’m doing it right. There is so much muscle memory with knitting I’ve been able to pick it up and get going. If I have something worth sharing I will in Craft and Chat, perhaps in a week or 2.
I hope that you have a great weekend whatever you are up to. Please remember to be kind to yourself and carve out some time to take care of yourself. January can be a long tough month, so I’m sending some hugs too.
