In todays Craft and Chat replay I make a couple of Christmas cards using the wonderful NEW Two Tone card. It is a white core, printed card/heavy paper that is dark on one side and light on the other. I personally wouldn’t use it for card blanks as its about 75% of the weight of our normal card, but it works amazingly well as layers. Of course its also excellent for its intended purpose, Scrapbooking too.
The techniques I share use a sanding block, so time to raid the DIY cupboard!
The card below was shared by Sara Douglass our CEO on her Facebook page, she used different stamps but the concept is the same. Such a fun quick Christmas card.
Here are a couple of close ups of the sanded Two Tone card.
So are you loving the grungy? or is it a step too far?
Here are all the Stampin’ Up! items I used in the video. Click on the pictures to go shopping in my online store.
I’m hoping my pre-order of new products that launch in November will be here by Tuesday as I have some cake stamps coming! So no Christmas next week, its will be yummy cake!
I have added 2 new in person classes/events to my calendar on the 16th November. The first will be a repeating class, a day to scrapbook. You can order a Scrapbook workshop kit to work on, or bring your own products its up to you and you’ll get your own table. There is also a Christmas Retreat, this is a scaled down version of my online retreat we are making 16 Christmas Cards 2 each of 8 designs and 3 special Christmas cards as well. The class includes the wonderful Peaceful Season stamp set.
In the latest bathroom update……. we are going backwards again! Brian did a bit of investigating to make sure the floor was strong enough to take the new heavier bath and oh dear! It seems that the old bath was basically floating, so the floor has come up, reinforcing is going in and then we will get on with what we were supposed to be doing this weekend. Its all fun and games here, but thank goodness Brian checked.
I hope you have a great weekend whatever you are up to and I’ll be back soon with some more creative inspiration
