Some vibrant butterfly cards for you today, using one of my favourite stamp sets Sketched Butterflies. I have used Blends on both of them. The Pretty Peacock one I scribbled the colours in stripes across a piece of card and then stamped in Memento black ink and die cut.
The Fresh Freesia butterfly, I coloured it a more traditional way, by stamping first and then colouring and die cutting. The two 3D embossing folders I used, Exposed Brick and distressed tile, give lots of texture.
The Sketched Butterflies bundle is on page 68 of the annual catalogue and is current on sale! Hurrah, as are the blends I used to colour them in. Don’t miss out the sale ends on Friday.
Here are all the Stampin’ Up! items used. Click on the pictures to go shopping in my online store.
I promised to report back on my catching up, from being behind yesterday.
I hurrier I go, the behinder I get!
That is a mis-quoted, not actually a quote from the White Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll didn’t actually write it, but the internet is convinced they did! and perhaps for me its completely and uterly true, because I am definitely getting behinder!
Needless to say, today as I’m writing this at around 5.30pm I have just finished what I thought I should have completed yesterday…….. I have however had a wonderful reflexology session and had a meander around the shops, so I’ve been distracting myself quite nicely.
Hope you have had a lovely day, I’ll see you tomorrow!
