Today’s Craft and Chat replay showcases a Gatefold card and Partial Die cutting. It uses the fabulous Mixed Floral stamp set and I show you a couple of different ways of making sure the back of the stamped image is hidden. This is important because the image is coloured with blends alcohol markers and they bleed through to the back of the card.

I made a standard Gate fold card that is 8″ wide and scored it at 2″ and 6″, or in cm, 20 cm wide and scored at 5 cm and 15 cm.

You can either die cut an extra layer, or use the partial die cutting technique. You will need a wider piece of card to do the partial die cutting technique but it gives you a much smoother back. You can see the ridge on the card below, that’s made with the additional die cut, and the 2nd photo shows it with the Partial die cut technique. Which one do you prefer?
