Autumn is certainly arriving here in the UK, lots of rain and wind and the leaves are falling. I love this time of year, well not the rain ( I hate getting wet!) but the colours and the sky always seems to be different.
Today’s card is perfect for an autumn birthday, I have used the fab wreath builder dies and fussy cut some patterned paper. I’ll pop all the details below.
You may remember a card I made a few weeks ago with the Wreath Builder dies, that focussed on the leaves, this time I’ve used the wreath that is more sprig/twig like. I cut it in Crumb cake card and then embossed it, using the Subtle Embossing folder, it gives it just enough texture. The patterned paper I used is Gilded Autumn and it has lovely gold and copper foiling and all sorts of designs. If you don’t like fussy cutting, some of the images can be cut using the Autumn Punch Pack, which is fab. The Autumn Punch Pack punches out an acorn, maple leaf and oak leaf. I finished the card off with an acorn trinket and some gold thread!

Have you got a fun weekend planned? I’ve got some videos to film in the morning and then we are heading to the beach for tea and cake! I have some more crochet to work on, ready for the Scarf Crochet-along starting in November. I need to get sorted out for my Christmas Cake too, shopping for some natural coloured Glace cherries and really plump dried fruit. I follow a tried and tested Mary Berry recipe, changing out the butter to make it dairy free so Kim can eat it. I add extra fruit and skip the nuts as some people don’t like those and then I soak it all in whisky for several days before cooking, and then feed it with whisky every week till Christmas! Yum!
See you soon!
